Colvin March 2016 Newsletter: Gowns for Prom Begins & UGLY UGGS?
Gowns for Prom with Colvin Cleaners
Our annual event that allows young ladies in need to pick out the prom gown of their dreams. Colvin Cleaners collects, dry cleans and tailors prom gowns for young ladies across the WNY community. Collections for this event go all year long. Please think about donating any of your used gowns to this cause. Last year, we distributed over 1,000 gowns to young ladies in need on stage at Shea's Buffalo. We accept donations at our store all year long, but the need is greater now with the give away right around the corner in April. We are also collecting at many locations in the Buffalo area. For route customers, you can donate a gown simply by putting it in any bag labeled Gowns for Prom.We hope this year will be our best ever!
Don't Let Your Uggs get UGLY! Walking throughout the winter in WNY, you are bound to get salt stains on your shoes and clothing. At Colvin Cleaners, we are experts at making your winter worn clothing look brand new. We delicately clean Uggs to restore them to their natural state. Salt stains and winter wear & tear are washed away to reveal "like-new" boots for you to use to stay warm in the Buffalo winter!
I really like the idea behind Gowns for Prom, especially how donated dresses are cleaned, tailored, and given a new chance to make someone’s special day memorable. The community effort behind collecting over 1,000 gowns is impressive. I also enjoy Crossy Road, a casual arcade game where players guide characters through busy roads while trying to reach the other side safely.
